Tips for trips

The historical center of Mělník and other attractions

The campsite is only a 10-minute walk from the historical center of Mělník, which is a protected urban area. You can visit the city walls, Prague Gate, Mělník underground or the Church of St. Peter and Paul with its ossuary. The town center culminates in the Mělník chateau, below which lie vineyards and Vrázova viewpoint, which offers a unique view of the confluence of the Elbe and Vltava rivers.

The town of Mělník is known as a wine-growing town, so you should definitely not miss a visit to the local wineries.

Within walking distance there is an ice stadium, an indoor sports hall, football pitches with artificial turf, and tennis courts.

Kokořínsko Protected Landscape Area

Just 7 km from Mělník, the beautiful natural scenery of the Kokořínsko PLA begins. The area is interwoven with a network of cycle paths. The main cycle route no. 142 will take you around Čertova and Faustova stěna (Devil’s and Faust’s Wall) via the Harasov natural swimming pool to Kokořín Castle. The entire cycle route is lined with caves, majestic rocks and breathtaking natural scenery.

Another interesting trail is the Elbe Cycle Route (if there was also a link there), which is a TOP European long-distance cycle route and is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and popular.
